Currently, despite ongoing clinical trials of safe and effective antiviral drugs and accelerated vaccine development programs, there is an increased risk of long-term complications from SARS-CoV-2 infection. A pressing neuroscience challenge is the evaluation of neurologic and depressive disorders and their association with COVID-19.
