The aim of the study was to evaluate the characteristics of physical development and possible manifestations of perinatal pathology of the central nervous system in children with bronchial asthma. Material and methods of the study: an in-depth clinical and neurological examination of 103 patients with moderate bronchial asthma during remission of the disease was conducted, the average age of which was 7.2±1.2 years. In accordance with the presence of concomitant neurological symptoms, the children were divided into 2 groups: the main group, which included 72 children with bronchial asthma with the presence of remote consequences of perinatal damage to the central nervous system, and the comparison group, consisting of 31 children with bronchial asthma without concomitant neurological disorders. Results obtained: Comparison of the obtained anthropometric characteristics showed a reliable predominance of disharmonious physical development among children with bronchial asthma in the main group, in contrast to the children in the comparison group. In patients in the main group, against the background of concomitant neurological symptoms, poor control of the course of bronchial asthma in more than half of the cases (n=46; 63.9%) was due to emotional experiences and the formation of psychosomatic pathology.
