Annotatsiya

Soil is a complex ecosystem teeming with microorganisms that play a crucial role in nutrient cycling, plant growth, and environmental health. The hygienic and microbiological properties of soil significantly influence human health, both positively and negatively. Beneficial soil microbes contribute to immune system modulation, antibiotic production, and mental health through the "hygiene hypothesis" and exposure to diverse microbiota. Conversely, pathogenic organisms in contaminated soil can lead to infections, parasitic diseases, and toxin exposure. This article reviews the dual role of soil microorganisms in human health, the risks associated with soil pollution, and strategies for maintaining a balanced soil microbiome to promote public health.
