The role of nutrition in preventing periodontosis during spring

Annotatsiya

Periodontosis, a severe form of periodontal disease, is influenced by seasonal variations, with spring often exacerbating inflammatory responses due to allergies and immune system fluctuations. Nutrition plays a pivotal role in modulating these effects by supporting immune function, reducing oxidative stress, and maintaining tissue integrity. This article explores the impact of key dietary components—such as vitamins (C, D, E), minerals (zinc, magnesium), omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants—on preventing periodontosis during spring. Additionally, it evaluates seasonal dietary patterns, including increased intake of fresh produce and anti-inflammatory foods, in mitigating periodontal risks. By integrating current research, this review provides evidence-based nutritional strategies tailored to spring conditions, offering practical recommendations for oral health maintenance during this season. Further studies are needed to explore personalized nutrition approaches for individuals with heightened seasonal susceptibility.
