Annotatsiya

Legal discourse is characterized by the use of precise lexical units that ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy in legal communication. This article examines lexical units in English and Uzbek legal discourse from a comparative linguistic perspective. It analyzes their formation, semantic features, and functional role in legal texts. The study demonstrates that although English and Uzbek legal systems differ in historical and linguistic development, both languages rely on specialized lexical units to construct legal meaning and ensure interpretative precision. The findings contribute to legal linguistics, terminology studies, and translation research.
