Annotatsiya

This article is about how historical-memorial discourse is linguocultural in nature, and why that matters methodologically, especially in translation studies. It kind of looks at cultural memory, a “concept sphere” type of field, and also what we can call the memorial lexicon to unpack intercultural friction that appears during the translation process. The author then forms the theoretical ground for a linguoculturological approach, so this can be used for the translation of historical-memorial texts too.
