Annotatsiya

The present study examines the diachronic semantic development of the concept of “sadoqat” (loyalty) in the Uzbek language based on texts from the XIV to the XXI centuries. Using diachronic semantic, collocational, and conceptual analyses, the study reveals that the concept evolved from a distributive semantic structure represented by lexemes such as vafo, sidq, sodiq, and fido toward a centralized and abstract conceptual system. The findings demonstrate that loyalty in Uzbek gradually expanded from emotional and interpersonal meanings to institutional, ideological, professional, and economic domains. The scientific novelty of the study lies in interpreting the historical development of the “sadoqat” concept as a process of semantic centralization within the framework of cognitive and diachronic semantics.
