This article analyzes the formation process of the native and borrowed layers in historical terminology. The native layer consists of historical terms created on the basis of the internal resources of thenational language, while the borrowed layer has been enriched through terms adopted from Arabic, Persian-Tajik, Turkic, Russian, and Western languages. The article examines the semantic features, phoneticadaptation, and the formation of both native and borrowed terms in relation to historical events, as well astheir role in national terminology. The findings of the study are of great importance for research in historiography and linguistics concerning terminology issues.
