In this article, the units related to the names of food used in Mahmud Kashgari’s work «Devonu lugʻotit-turk» are analyzed, and their comparative analysis with the lexemes representing the names of food in other works was selected as the object of the article. The names of food products included in «Devon» have a unique appearance from the point of view of the period, and it should be noted that while the names of food in the work in some cases resemble the names of food in works created before and after «Devon» in form, sometimes there is a difference in content.
