Nowruz holiday is a ceremony consisting of certain actions and words that are known in advance to all participants. This is a seasonal ritual; It does not take place at any time, it has its own time, it takes place in March, when winter turns into spring. Novruz is a kind of ceremony, that is, in a narrow sense, a holiday, a New Year’s holiday. Everything related to Novruz is a ritual tradition. As the eras of world history with conflicting ideologies replaced each other, the Nowruz holiday not only disappear, but also continued its existence with great enthusiasm, winning battles with different religions, different civilizations and ideologies that contradicted its spirit. The history of the Nowruz holiday has always been closely connected with the traditions of the national statehood of Azerbaijan. This holiday, which has taken a strong place in the life of our people, in the world of traditions, since ancient times has not only remained a household holiday belonging to the masses, but has been celebrated at the state level and has enlightened the life of our people as a whole. The main traditions of the Novruz ritual complex are: traditions associated with the pre-holiday Wednesdays; traditions of social cohesion and exchange; traditional performance; game traditions; culinary traditions.
