In this article, an attempt is made to study historical anthroponyms and their lexical layers on the example of “Temurnoma” by Salahiddin Toshkandi. The factors of acquisition and etymology of some historical anthroponyms presented in the work are analyzed on the basis of scientifc and historical sources.
