Figures of speech were widely used in Uzbek classical literature. The poetic skill of the Uzbek poet E. Shukur can also be assessed through his use of figures of speech. The effect and power of the content of a poem depends on the treatment of its form. This feature also has its place in modern Uzbek poetry, which is a logical and organic continuation of Uzbek classical literature. The influence of folk poetic style is clearly expressed in the poetry of E. Shukur. This can be observed in the figures of speech he used in his poems, most of them are associated with Turkic words.
