Annotatsiya

This article examines how conceptual metaphors function as framing devices in digital news media, shaping public perception through selective highlighting of reality. Drawing on Komatsubara's (2024) analysis of COVID-19 metaphors in Japanese newspaper articles, the study demonstrates that journalists actively select metaphorical framings that influence public discourse. The findings reveal significant implications for understanding media influence in emerging digital contexts, including Uzbekistan.
