Status epilepticus (status epilepticus) is a condition in which epileptic seizures follow one another (usually more than 30 minutes), and in the intervals between seizures, the patient does not regain consciousness. The status can arise as a complication of epilepsy or be its manifest manifestation. A life-threatening neurological condition is defined as a seizure lasting 5 minutes or more, either continuous or recurrent seizures without regaining consciousness.
