STRUCTURE AND CLINIC OF BACK PAIN IN CONSCRIPT MILITARY SERVICEMEN

Examined 450 outpatients and 101 inpatients with back pains of conscript military servicemen (CMS). The structure was dominated by pain in the lower back (51.12%), less pain in the cervical region (31.12%), and in the chest (17.78%). The acute course of the disease was in 91.1% of patients, in 8.9% it was subacute. The main factors provoking the onset of painful episodes in CMS were weight lifting (55.56%), excessive physical effort (18.89%), playing sports (10.67%), prolonged standing (7.78%), awkward movement (4.67%), hypothermia (2.44%). Among the clinical manifestations in CMS patients, reflex syndrome (61.1%), muscle-tonic syndrome (38.9%) and radicular syndrome (20%) were distinguished. In conscripts with dorsalgia of the first six months of service, the severity according to the VAS scale, SVD according to the questionnaire, as well as anxiety and depressive manifestations are more pronounced than in patients with the second six months of service, and is especially pronounced in the group of military personnel who had no desire to serve in the ranks of the Armed forces.
