Our study showed that many manufacturers of toothpastes sold in Uzbekistan use fluoride salt, which is almost never used in Germany. It is confirmed by the fact that the concentration of free fluoride ion in NaMFP containing toothpastes is less than that in NaF containing toothpastes. In addition, the concentration of free fluoride ions in NaF containing toothpastes is high, but slightly less than their counterparts from Germany. Thus, it is recommended to use toothpastes containing not less than 1000 ppm in free fluoride ions and with an abrasive material of silicate nature (without calcium), since they have a sufficiently high caries preventive effect.
