Caries of approximal surfaces of the teeth is not only highly prevalent in our time, but it is difficult to diagnose and more difficult to treat. The aim of the study was to examine the frequency and connection of development of approximal surface caries in 13-15 years old children. It was revealed that 23.42% of the children had carious cavities and fillings on the approximal surfaces of molars and premolars. And there was a consistent trend of increasing their numbers with age. Boys had 1.3 times more approximal carious defects than girls. Approximal caries is an important sign of progression of caries process, as an individual child, and in the study group.
