This article examines the participation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international cooperation, particularly in its collaboration with the United Nations (UN) in combating climate change. It highlights Uzbekistan’s ratification of the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, as well as its involvement in the UN’s global programs — the Millennium Development Goals and the Sustainable Development Goals. The article also analyzes initiatives and ongoing projects aimed at mitigating the severe environmental crisis in the Aral Sea region and measures undertaken to preserve biological diversity. The conclusion presents findings and recommendations regarding the importance of international cooperation in addressing environmental challenges and ensuring the conservation of biodiversity.
