The article analyzes the fact that during the outbreak of World War II, the evacuation of enterprises and the population to Uzbekistan from the hotbeds of war to Central Asia was carried out directly by the main means of transport - railways, and its conditions. In addition, the process of rebuilding railway transport in the interests of the front and the national economy is highlighted.
