The article analyzes the state and activities of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in the extreme conditions of the Second World War on the territory of Uzbekistan. In addition, the problems of placing higher educational institutions evacuated to Uzbekistan from the western regions of the former Union and the organization of their activities together with local educational institutions for the training of personnel with higher education, necessary in wartime conditions, are covered.
