The International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, established by the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan and the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is a leading educational and research institution specializing in the training of qualified personnel in the fields of Quranic sciences, hadith, Islamic law, aqeedah, tasawwuf, Islamic economics and finance, international relations, foreign languages, and other internationally needed areas, organizing an integrated system of continuous education at the stages of secondary specialized, higher education, post-higher education, and advanced training, conducting in-depth research and preservation of scientific heritage, and providing religious and secular knowledge. This article discusses the directions of religious education in Uzbekistan and reforms aimed at improving its quality, the principles of scientific research, issues related to the history and philosophy of Islam, their role in the life and development of society, as well as the theoretical and practical tasks facing state and public organizations and religious institutions that have deeply mastered modern sciences.
