Annotatsiya

The national-territorial delimitation in Central Asia, carried out in 1924–1925, was a crucial stage in the formation of national-territorial entities within the Soviet Union. As a result of this policy, the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic was established, significantly influencing the ethnic composition and national identity of its population. This article examines the prerequisites and objectives of the delimitation, its implementation, and its consequences, including changes in administrative-territorial structure, population resettlement, and the formation of Uzbek national identity. Special attention is given to the impact of Soviet policies on interethnic relations and the transformation of national consciousness in the region.
