The article examines the role of such companies as the Fergana Joint-Stock Company for the Extraction of Rare Metals, Markov Joint-Stock Company of the Turkestan Coal Industry, Markov Joint-Stock Company, Turkestan Coal Industry, Sulyukta Coal A.M., Verbov and Co., which entered the mining industry of the Turkestan region in the late 19th - early 20th centuries on the basis of Russian investments, as well as the companies Chimyon and Santo (Central Asian Oil Exploration and Trading Company) and Moilisoy in Fergana, which were created on the basis of English investments, in the development of mineral extraction. The documents that provide an idea of the contribution of foreign investors to the development of the mining industry of the Turkestan region are analyzed. It was established that these companies occupied a certain position in the trade of minerals, such as non-ferrous and rare metals, as well as fuel products, and were called upon to serve the interests of the Russian Empire.
