This article provides interesting information about the patronage activities of local wealthy merchants in various cities and villages of Turkestan at the beginning of the 20th century. In colonial conditions, they did good deeds that served the interests of the people and received applause from the general public. Some of them sponsored the establishment of educational institutions, some contributed to the development of the local cultural sphere, and some contributed to the formation of the worldview of the population.
