Cities have played an important role in the development of Uzbek civilization at various times. Recent archaeological research has shown that the roots of urban culture in the regions of our country date back to the second millennium BC. The Late Middle Ages and the early 18th - early 20th centuries play an important role in the development of urban culture in Uzbekistan. Today, one of the urgent tasks of history is to develop new scientific views on the history of urban culture, to show the importance of cities as socio-political, economic, scientific and cultural centers, to identify the influence of modern urban culture.
