This article is dedicated to the first dakhmas found in the Sherabad district of the Surkhandarya region,and finds from them. Dakhma is a religious site associated with Zoroastrianism and a place wherecorpses are placed to rot. In the Khorde Avesta, dakhma is explained as follows: “... in dakhma theyrepent of all their sins and forgive their sins”.The article discusses the dakhmas and blue minerals found in the archeological excavations of theKohitang Mountains and foothills, which are among the Zoroastrian burial sites. No burial pits werefound under the stone structures. Dakhmas were built on the natural subsoil; fragments of pottery of theKuchuk I and III cultures, as well as blue minerals with fragments of bone were found among the stones.The blue minerals found in the dakhmas, their properties, and the results of laboratory analysis areextensively covered. In world mythology and ethnography, episodes related to the color blue have beenstudied comparatively and their occurrence in classification and characterization has been compared.Some data about blue color in the Videvdat and Yasht books of the Avesta has been analyzed andcompared with archeological materials.In the article in the ethnography of the Avestan period, the traditions associated with the blue color arereflected mainly in the funeral processes, which has been proven by archaeological excavations
