The article analyzes the importance of familiarizing schoolchildren with the national crafts and traditions of our people. Particular attention was paid to the views of our ancestors on the importance of vocational training for young people. The main directions of the development of national folk crafts have been studied. The content of the normative documents adopted by the state on the development of this sphere is revealed. Factors have been worked out to improve the common relations of national-folk handicrafts and traditions among young people.
