The article examines the role of museums in the historical development of mankind, analyzes the work of domestic and foreign scientists who have studied the history of museums in Uzbekistan, and also pays special attention to the development of museums - institutions that preserve our historical heritage over the years of independence and measures taken to improve the museum culture of the population.
