This article presents an analysis of the development of information technology competence in future teachers as a current pedagogical problem. The results obtained can be used to increase the effectiveness of teaching in general education schools, pedagogical monitoring and teaching of general education subjects when creating educational materials for educational modules, developing tasks for international assessment systems, as well as individual competencies.
