The article presents information on the identification and treatment of postpartum affective disorders in women and their influence on the indicators of the child's psychosomatic health. During the period of postpartum depression, the mother experiences frustration, crying, lack of feelings of satisfaction and joy, and discomfort; from a somatic point of view, this leads to a deterioration in sleep and appetite, adynamia; decision-making is impaired from a cognitive point of view, self-control is impaired. This, in turn, affects the nervous and spiritual state of the child. In children, the work of the system of communication with the mother is disrupted, the child's sleep and daily routine are disrupted, as a result, various diseases arise and infant mortality increases.
