The article reveals the essence and significance of the new foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at creating an atmosphere of good-neighborliness in Central Asia. The analysis of ideological, political, and economic factors contributing to the development of regional integration at the present stage is given. The formation of a sub-region of the system of international relations in Central Asia is substantiated.
