This article discusses the development of creative thinking of teachers in higher education. The fact that creative thinking is an important factor in ensuring the quality of education in the pedagogical activity of professors and teachers of higher education institutions is scientifically substantiated with the help of examples. The article presents empirical materials and analyzes scientific approaches to this issue in foreign experience.
