Annotatsiya

Objective: To assess the health of premature infants after mechanical ventilation and develop strategies to prevent post-ventilation complications using caffeine citrate. Materials and Methods. The study is being conducted at the Samarkand Regional Children's Multidisciplinary Medical Center, in the neonatal intensive care unit. The study will include 90 premature infants (gestational age less than 37 weeks) who received mechanical ventilation in the early neonatal period. Premature infants often require respiratory support. However, prolonged use of mechanical ventilation is associated with the risk of complications, including bronchopulmonary dysplasia, retinopathy of prematurity, infections, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Studying the relationship between mechanical ventilation duration and health status will help optimize management strategies and reduce adverse outcomes. Premature infants constitute the most vulnerable category of neonatal patients, requiring comprehensive respiratory support in the early postnatal period. Mechanical ventilation (MV) can save lives, but prolonged exposure to positive airway pressure carries the risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia, retinopathy, infectious complications, and neurovegetative dysfunction. According to current research [38], more than 30% of infants undergoing mechanical ventilation develop signs of chronic respiratory failure and metabolic disorders in the first months of life. One promising approach to preventing these complications is the use of caffeine citrate, which has proven effective in reducing the incidence of apnea, improving ventilation-perfusion ratios, and shortening the duration of mechanical ventilation. Studying the health of premature infants after mechanical ventilation and evaluating the effectiveness of preventive therapy are relevant scientific and practical challenges in modern neonatology.
