In the field of forensic science, the issue of various anonymous letters and the identification of their author is of great importance. This process requires responsibility and knowledge and skills. The linguist-expert must carefully study all the elements of the manuscript without taking into account all the elements, and be able to draw general conclusions based on the collected data. These conclusions should help clarify the assumptions about the author of the text directly. The article answers the questions of how to conduct an anonymous email examination and what to look for. It is proposed to divide the examination of written texts into 4 main stages, from which the first two stages will analyze the aspects that need to be considered.
