Annotatsiya

This study examines the effects of cooperative learning strategies on the teaching and learning of optics, a complex and abstract branch of physics. Through a mixed-methods research design, the study compares the effectiveness of collaborative learning with traditional lecture-based instruction. Quantitative data from pre- and post-tests indicate significant learning gains in the collaborative group, supported by qualitative insights from classroom observations, student interviews, and analysis of group interactions. Findings show that cooperative learning not only improves academic performance, but also develops critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Issues related to group dynamics and participation are discussed, and recommendations are made for optimizing cooperative learning in optical education.
