Journal of Biomedicine and Practice – Biomeditsina va amaliyot jurnali · 2025-yil

Annotatsiya

Metabolic syndrome (MS) significantly affects the morphofunctional state of the small intestine, leading to pronounced histological and ultrastructural alterations. This study explores key pathological processes, including epithelial barrier destabilization, hypoxia, inflammatory responses, and microcirculatory disturbances. Special attention is given to enterocyte changes, such as mitochondrial damage, disruption of intercellular junctions, and increased vascular permeability. These alterations contribute to intestinal dysfunction, exacerbating the systemic manifestations of metabolic syndrome.
