The article examines modern trends in green transport development and its role in sustainable transportation systems. Environmental problems associated with conventional fuel vehicles are analyzed. Major pollutants generated by road transport, including carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur oxides, are considered. The prospects of electric vehicles, hybrid transport systems, hydrogen energy technologies, and biofuels are discussed. The advantages of introducing environmentally friendlytransportation technologies in Uzbekistan are substantiated. The necessity of transitioning to low-carbon transport systems is emphasized.
