Annotatsiya

The article focuses on changes in the thymus gland during the late neonatal period in newborns against the background of maternal preeclampsia and eclampsia. Factors affecting ontogenesis during this period lead to the following outcomes: conditions for deep involution of the gland, premature formation of a large number of Hassall's corpuscles, expansion of interlobular barriers, sclerosis, apoptosis of reticuloepithelial cells, and the absence of epithelioid cells rich in secretory granules. The third stage of accidental thymic transformation, characterized by a sharp decrease in lymphocytes and the development of persistent, prolonged, and interstitial vascular edema, indicates premature thymic involution and the development of a cellular type of secondary immunodeficiency.
