This article analyzes some problems associated with the classification of crimes under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the specifics of the classification of crimes in a number of developed countries, their implementation in national legislation. Also, a new classification system and criteria have been developed, and suggestions and recommendations are given on this issue.
