The article analyses the practice of paying procedural costs associated with criminal proceedings, and critically analyses the current law defining the order and amount of procedural costs. According to the results of the research, the author proposes to repeal the law and implementation the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers reflecting clear mechanisms to pay procedural costs instead.
