Vegetable pea (Pisum sativum L., Partim) is one of the valuable leguminous crops beneficial to human health. Its composition is rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals that are easily digested by the human body. In particular, due to its high protein content, vegetable pea is considered a nutritious and dietary food product. Vegetable pea contains B-group vitamins, including B₁, B₂, PP, and other biologically active substances. In addition, it contains mineral elements such as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, and iron. These substances play an important role in improving metabolism, supporting cardiovascular activity, and strengthening the immune system. To obtain a high and quality yield of vegetable pea, the seed material must fully meet the established agrotechnical and standard requirements. If seeds that do not comply with standard requirements are used for sowing, even the application of advanced agrotechnologies may not ensure that the harvested yield meets the required quality standards. This article analyzes the laboratory germination indicators of seeds of the vegetable pea variety “Syurpriz” and provides practical recommendations.
