The article examines inflammatory processes in oral diseases, with a focus on exudative erythema multiforme (EEM) as an example of a pronounced inflammatory response. The pathogenesis of EEM and the influence of endogenous intoxication and chronic diseases on the immune response are analyzed. Various manifestations, including the herpes-associated form, and the causes of sensitivity to microbial flora are discussed. The importance of studying immunological aspects to improve the diagnosis and treatment of EEM is emphasized. The article calls for further research to develop new methods to combat this complex disease.
