ABSTRACTIn the process of globalization, the desire to study the literature, art, and culture of peoples is increasing more and more. Within the framework of the article, Khurshid Davron’s “The Dream of Samarkand” and Japanese writer Yasushi Inoue’s “Seiiki Monogatari - Journey beyond Samarkand” discussed the theme of the Great Silk Road, paying attention to the tradition and innovation in their use. Similarities and differences of both works were also studied. The unique and similar aspects of both works were analyzed and compared as much as possible. The focus is on the memories of Yasushi Inoue’s “Journey beyond Samarkand” and Khurshid Davron’s “The Dream of Samarkand”. In the works “Seiiki-monogatari - Journey beyond Samarkand” and “The Dream of Samarkand” different forms of artistic time are compared: daily, retrospective, historical, biological, calendar, daily.
