ABSTRACT The article contains systematized problems related to the development of literary pronunciation skills of future teachers of the native language and literary studies, the main tasks and some feedback on their solution. The advantages of using the usual exercises for the development of oral speech skills at the selective level of specialists are also substantiated. The most important thing is that the role of the exercise in the formation of speech skills is greater than in other training tasks. Keywords: literary pronunciation, future teacher, vowels and consonants, exercise, sign and stress, orthoepy.
