The article investigates the processes of interlingual interaction in conditions of stable Russian-Karakalpak bilingualism. Field recordings of spontaneous speech collected in several districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan serve as the material. The analysis encompasses three levels: phonetic, grammatical, and lexical. It has been established that interference is asymmetrical in nature, and its intensity is determined by the typological distance of the contacting systems. Lexicon is the most permeable area, while the morphological structure of the Karakalpak language exhibits significant stability.
