The article examines the main stages and directions of economic reforms in the Republic of Karakalpakstan during the period 2000-2021. Particular attention is paid to the processes of liberalization and modernization of the economy, the implementation of fundamental structural transformations in industry and agriculture, as well as the state policy of supporting small business and private entrepreneurship.
