Artistic language is a language used in a special way in literature and art, and its main purpose is to give aesthetic pleasure to the reader or listener, as well as to express feelings and thoughts in a deeper, more meaningful and figurative way. Literary language uses richer and more artistic means of expression than simple grammatical and semantic forms of language used in everyday life. The article analyzes the linguistic features of Lukman Borikhan's novel "People in the Heat" based on biographical and cultural-historical methods. The author placed the main responsibility for the work on the narrator Samed Dolanov and used the norms of the literary language to describe the actions and portraits of all the characters in the novel, as well as to express their character traits and natural landscapes. Dialect words and phrases are widely used to form the speech of the characters. The examples prove that the writer effectively used all the possibilities of the literary language in creating the speech of the author and characters in this work on a modern theme.
