The article examines legal entities as subjects of crimes in the field of ecology, studying their legal status and responsibility for violations of environmental norms and regulations. The legal status and responsibility of legal entities for violations of environmental norms and rules are being studied, as well as the scientific basis for holding legal entities accountable for crimes in the field of ecology is being substantiated. It is established that in a market economy, legal entities are active subjects. The damage they cause (especially in the field of ecology) is several times more socially dangerous than the damage caused by a specific individual.The paper analyzes legislative acts and international standards in this area, as well as proposes recommendations for strengthening legislation and its effective implementation to protect the environmental interests of society.
