The article discusses the issues of ensuring the best interests of the child, which is an important principle of realizing the rights of the child in accordance with the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the variety of approaches to defining the concept of “best interests of the child”, taking into account the provisions of international law and national legislation, the role and significance of the 2030 Agenda year, taking into account the implementation of the principle of the best interests of the child in the world. Based on the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that the implementation of the main document of the international community depends on the efforts of the state itself, as a full-fledged subject of international law.
