The article studies the substantive properties of terminological units in jurisprudence. The importance of semantic properties in the classification of legal terminology and terminological systems is revealed. The differentiation of terms according to their semantic relationship and the approach to these issues in terms of legal terminology are analyzed. In addition, a theoretical conclusion is formulated on the issues of homonymy and polyfunctionality in terms.
